Q-Lab, the worldwide leader in weathering test equipment and exposure testing, is proud to announce that their accelerated testing laboratory in Saarbrücken, Germany is now accredited to ISO 17025.
Q-Lab welcomes the approval following a comprehensive audit by A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation), one of the world’s premier laboratory accreditation bodies.
Q-Lab's European Accelerated Lab opened in 2012, and provides cost-effective accelerated weathering and corrosion testing to customers across all of Europe. The lab features multiple QUV, Q-SUN and Q-FOG test chambers. Color, gloss and visual evaluation reports are also available. The lab replicates many of the same capabilities as Q-Lab’s ISO 17025 accredited accelerated lab in Florida. A copy of the Scope of Accreditation may be downloaded from Q-Lab’s website.
ISO 17025 specifically assesses those important factors relevant to a laboratory's ability to produce reliable, accurate test and calibration data, including:
- technical competence of the staff
- conformance to published standards
- traceability of measurements and calibrations to national standards
- suitability, calibration and maintenance of test equipment; quality assurance of test and calibration data
- testing environment, and specimen handling and transportation
Customers across Europe now have a new option for reliable and cost-effective accelerated weathering and corrosion testing from “the most trusted name in weathering.”
