Q-Lab Corporation, a worldwide leader in accelerated weathering and corrosion equipment and outdoor exposure testing, is pleased to announce that Mr. Brad Reis has been elected Chairman of the ASTM Subcommittee for promoting D01 – Paints and Coatings.
Brad has worked with ASTM for many years and currently serves as Chairman of ASTM’s subcommittee D01.27, on Accelerated Testing. He is currently the Chief Technical and Chief Marketing Officer for Q-Lab.
A member of SAE and AATCC, Reis participates actively in several ISO standards efforts including: TC61 (Plastics), TC35 (Paint and Coatings), TC156 (Corrosion), and TC38 (Textiles).
Throughout his nearly 30 year career, Reis has held various technical leadership roles in marketing, new product development, applications engineering, equipment design, and intellectual property.
His broad experience stems from working at several leading technology companies, including General Electric, W. L. Gore & Associates, and most recently GrafTech International, before joining the Q-Lab team. He holds over 30 US patents and has authored many papers in the field of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and thermal management.
Brad graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and cum laude with a master’s degree in technical management, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
