Q-Lab Corporation has been named a Top Workplace by the Cleveland Plain Dealer for 2017. This is the fourth time Q-Lab has earned this honor.
This year’s list includes 150 companies in three divisions, and Q-Lab ranked as one of the best workplaces in its category. All recognized organizations - which also include nonprofits and government agencies - participated in an employee satisfaction survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics. The results were based entirely on employees’ opinions about their companies, as ranked on a seven-point scale.
Q-Lab President Doug Grossman was awarded an additional special award in 2017 in recognition of Q-Lab’s high score in the leadership category. Grossman was recognized for “sharing well with employees,” based on comments provided by Q-Lab employees.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together."
Q-Lab’s products and services are extensively used in the paint, plastics, and automotive industries for R&D, quality control, and to test for weathering and corrosion durability. Q-Lab manufactures and sells affordable, easy-to-use and low-maintenance weathering, light stability and corrosion test equipment.
