Two Q-Lab employees were recently honored by several standards organizations for their continued service and dedication.
Brad Reis, Chief Operating Officer, received an award of appreciation from the ASTM Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials and Applications. This award honored his work done in helping to promote and expand the membership and attendance for D01. Reis has served as chair of the D01.27 subcommittee on Accelerated Testing since 2015 and as chair of D01.95 since 2017. A member of SAE and AATCC, Reis participates actively in several ISO standards efforts including: TC61 (Plastics), TC35 (Paint and Coatings), TC156 (Corrosion), and TC38 (Textiles).
Gary Cornell, Global Manager of Standards, Quality & Calibration, was recognized for his many years of dedicated service on the ISO/TC 35 committee on paints and varnishes. Cornell is a member of A2LA, SAE, USIFI and many ASTM committees, in addition to being a lead ISO 17025 auditor for A2LA.
