Q-Lab’s Outdoor Exposure Test Services facilities in Florida and Arizona have been formally recognized for testing Roofing Products by the EPA’s Energy Star Program. This expands upon Q-Lab’s existing certification as a Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) accredited exposure Test Farm.
Q-Lab’s outdoor testing facilities meet the Energy Star Program Requirements for Roofing Products, able to perform the necessary exposure testing standards, including ASTM G7, “Standard Practice for Atmospheric Environmental Exposure Testing of Nonmetallic Materials.”

The Energy Star program was launched in 1992. Energy Star has 16,000 partners working to protect the environment through greater energy efficiency, including manufacturers, retailers, public schools, hospitals, real estate companies, and home builders.
